Message from the President

Lorraine GuthrieWelcome to the Kiwanis Club of Providenciales website. As President of this club, I have been blessed to be with this awesome group of people, serving the community of Provo as well as the children of the world.

The mission of the Kiwanis Club is to serve the Children of World, to educate our young people to learn how to serve their community to the best of their ability.   Too often we find our young people just idly doing nothing with their time; that is why the Key Clubs and K Kids are so important to lay down the foundation for our young people to give back in their community.

This year, our club has so many plans which involves fundraising and community service projects such as Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, School Bus shelter, Health Fair, Raffle, and our Kiwanis Golf Classic which is held in February.  Last year we did have challenges, but I do hope we are able to accomplish all our goals this year.

We as a club are always looking for hard working, dedicated and committed people to join the Kiwanis Club, so don’t delay, join the Kiwanis Club of Providenciales today!

God bless.

Lorraine Guthrie
President

Objects of Kiwanis
The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International were approved by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924 Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the succeeding decades, they have remained unchanged.

  • To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
  • To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
  • To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
  • To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
  • To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
  • To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill
